This is one of my all time fave Beefheart shows. The band is on fire, CB is in a great mood and it’s one of the best quality shows from that period. The band intro’s are hilarious, as people are yelling out for members who aren’t there (“Drumbo? He’s got a bow on his drums. He can’t play with us men.”) Zoot Horn Rollo has trouble hitting the high lunar note in Big Eyed Beans and needs considerable coaxing. One of the highlights is Booglarize, which by 1973 had become a really fast boogie with an outrageously good vocal solo. If you don’t have this, you need it. -------------------- Seeded by firusan to Dimeadozen.org = 28 March 2020 Seeded by Pittylabelle to Zappateers.com and updated to Zappateers standards = 9 December 2022
